  • NileGuide Expert tip:

The 2010 line up looks particularly provocative and is receiving outstanding reviews!

    Description:

    • The Tarragon Theatre is located north of Bloor Street, in the Annex, and is a company committed to producing and promoting new works by Canadain playwrights. Since its founding in 1970, more than 170 productions have celebrated their premieres on the Tarragon stage. That said, Tarragon's repertoire balances the contemporary with the classic, reflecting the company's respect for historically significant Canadian playwrights - as well as the work of emerging and established international artists.

The venue itself features two performance spaces - Mainspace (a 205 seat theatre) and The Extra Space (a 100 seat theatre) and supports a number of education and outreach initiatives. Tickets for most productions range from $32-$38 for adults (the price for seniors is $27; for students and art workers, $20).
