Bloor/Yorkville is Toronto's fashion Mecca. Everything from high-end designers to Canadian chains like Roots and Aritzia can be found on this strip.
The shopping along Bloor Street is big in scale and long on designer options. Massive, multi-storey store fronts line both sides of the street between Church Street and Avenue Road. The well-designed windows and designer labels might deter budget-conscious shoppers at first glance, but those diligent and patient enough to do the sleuth work will be pleased by the sale options they discover. Most of these large stores have rich, if well-hidden sale sections that yield deals worth the detective work. Head one block north and you'll hit the section of town that touts itself as the home of haute couture - as well as some of the city's finest in food and art. Yorkville's brick-laid streets offer visitors designer boutiques, cafes, restaurants and galleries in converted 19th century houses. The dining options are extensive, the art and antique dealers are knowledgeable and the clothes are high fashion. Finally, those exhausted from a day of shopping, gallery hopping and indulging in fine food and wine can meander into one of the neighbourhood's many high end hotels.
