The Beaches

As the name suggests, this East End neighbourhood is nestled on the shores of Lake Ontario.  Renowned for its boardwalk, eclectic vibe and the trendy shopping options that line its main drag on Queen Street East, the Beaches is a predominantly residential area that appeals to nature lovers and culture vultures alike. Full of coffee shops, bookstores and quirky clothing options, the busy Queen Street section of the Beaches offers plenty of distractions to those that prefer a vantage far from the water.

For everyone else: wander the tree-lined streets running north and south and hit the sand where you'll and find happy people strolling, jogging, roller blading and practicing tai chi in the sunshine.

The Beaches is most easily accessed by streetcar, heading eastbound along Queen Street, and is bordered by Coxwell Avenue and Neville Park Boulevard.
