Description:
Leslieville, once a no-man's land between Riverdale and The Beaches, is Toronto's hottest neighborhood (sorry, West Queen West), and Edward Levesque's Kitchen is one important reason. This small, unpretentious bistro offers cooking so sophisticated and service so smooth that it caught the attention of the New York Times. The cooking is sublime, and while the menu changes constantly, you're in safe hands whether you choose grilled leg of Ontario lamb rubbed with cumin and garlic, or an asparagus, chive and lemon risotto paired up with Atlantic salmon. This is an extremely popular place for brunch, and it's no mystery why when you try the frittata made with goat cheese and fresh rosemary (the restaurant won't take reservations for anything but dinner, so go early!).

Food was OK - but I won't go back

The overall experience was satisfactory and the food was good (not great). I was disappointed, as I had been told to expect more. At the price point, you can do a lot better.
