Lai Toh heen - Toronto

  • Description:

    • Lai Toh Heen, which means "Beautiful, Nurturing and Pleasurable Meeting Place", is the place to see and be seen as patrons flock to this fine-dining establishment and hip, new lounge. With creative direction from Lai Wah Heen's executive and master dim sum chefs, the menu was created by Lai Toh Heen's executive chef John Kwan and is modern and experimental, drawing inspiration from all regions in China. In addition to Kwan's unique creations, Lai Toh Heen's dim sum chef created an exciting line-up of dim sum. While traditionally served only over the breakfast and lunch hours, patrons can enjoy it all day long, both as a lunch menu feature and served tapas-style in its posh new lounge throughout the evening. Inspired by Shanghai in the 1930's, the space is warm, soft and inviting. The two-level dining room features large showcase chandeliers, mirrors framed in end-cut walnut, dark espresso floors, coffee bean-coloured wood wall panels, as well as deep crimson accents through
