• The Southside Restaurant & Bar is located on the south-east corner of Lonsdale & Spadina Roads. Proprietor Matthew Schein also operates the Hope Street Cafe, a neighborhood staple, directly across the street. Schein has transformed this historic corner from a bakery into an elegant dining room with a comfortable yet contemporary feel. Schein did much of the design work himself, and his attention to detail is reflected both in the dining room and on the menu. The South Side is a destination for out of town visitors, neighborhood regulars, celebrities and business professionals alike.
