    • Kensington Market -- and Augusta Avenue in particular -- is filled with excellent restaurants, but this one is my very favorite. Torito is a little gem that has made a big splash since it opened. You could put it down to the delicious dishes they serve (roasted quail with a pomegranate glaze, smoked trout with potato salad). But I think that it's also partly to do with the place's sense of humor. How can you not love a restaurant that offers "tongue in cheek"? (They mean it literally: braised tongue beside seared-and-braised cheek in a red-wine sauce. Honest, it's good!) The list of drinks is long, interesting and well-priced. I've never developed a taste for sherry, but there are plenty of options for those who have. I'll stick with the cava (sparkling Spanish wine) and sangria.
