Bata Shoe Museum (The)

Bata Shoe Museum (The) - Toronto

  • Description:

    • If the Sex and the City girls were to head off for a cultural day at a museum, they would definitely be heading here. With more than 10,000 items, the fanatical shoe-box shaped museum takes a look at the history of footwear - dating back to 4 million B.C.

There are also intriguing exhibits featuring Elton John's 12 inch platforms, spiked walnut-crushing clogs used in France, and even a former Prime Minister's sandals.

To make it a true Sex and the City outing, you may want to head further west down Bloor St. afterwards to Insomnia, where there are over 50 martinis featured on the cocktail menu.
