Description:
Glad Day Bookshop was opened in 1970 and was both Toronto's and Canada's first book store aimed at the LGBT community. It is now also the world's oldest LGBT bookstore. It carries a wide vareity of LGBT-themed books and magazines, including fiction, biographies and history, and also now carries CDs and videos. Located on Yonge Street north of Wellesley, it is very close to the Gay Village on Church Street.
