St. Jacobs Farmers' Market

St. Jacobs Farmers' Market - Toronto

  • Description:

    • St. Jacobs Farmers' Market is the largest year-round farmers' market in Canada. It is open Thursdays and Saturdays from 7:00am to 3:30pm all year, as well as Tuesdays from 8:00am to 3:00pm during the summer. There are indoor and outdoor sections of the market, which sells all kinds of local produce and crafts. There is a large Mennonite population in the area, so you will have a chance to purchase home-baked goods and hand-made crafts. There are also antique stores nearby, and the village of St. Jacobs is only a couple of kilometres up the road, both excellent ways to finish out the afternoon.

St. Jacobs is near the city of Kitchener-Waterloo, which is a little more than an hour west of Toronto by car. It is on the way to Stratford, so could well be combined into a summer weekend getaway.
