There is some debate as to whether this shop is actually the world's biggest bookstore – there are one or two stores in the US with more floor space or more shelf space. World's Biggest Bookstore still claims, however, to carry more titles. Either way, this place is a must-see for book-lovers. Built in a former bowling alley in 1980, the World's Biggest Bookstore is now owned by the Chapters-Indigo chain. It has two enormous floors filled with books on every conceivable topic, as well as music, magazines, and DVDs. It is just north of Dundas, off Yonge Street, conveniently close to the
Eaton Centre,
Yonge-Dundas Square, and several theatres.
