La Brasserie Buré

• A 5-minute walk east of the center of Tours, this somewhat unimaginative brasserie specializes in shellfish and regional recipes. It has a busy bar and a front terrace, with tables inside on the street level and mezzanine. Menu items include six well-flavored versions of sauerkraut; a wide choice of grilled meats, including steak au poivre; foie gras and smoked salmon; and a tempting array of desserts.
