Book a tour at the Asa Wright Nature Centre, located in north Trinidad in the Arima Valley. Set out early to make the most of the various tours once there which includes a visit to Dunston Caves where the nocturnal oil birds live. Day Note:

A trip to the Wild Fowl Trust in the south of Trinidad is a wet-land sanctuary. See over 147 species of wild birds in their natural habitat and read about the environment and purpose of this sanctuary in the Learning Centre. In the evening, make your way east to Grande Riviere where the leatherback turtle nests during the months of May-August.
