• Golf is the name of the game at this boutique resort, which for many years hosted the Tucson Open golf tournament. If you don't have your own clubs, you might feel out of place. Then again, you could just avail yourself of the spa. Most of the spacious guest rooms cling to the edges of the golf course and have patios or balconies. At press time, this resort was undergoing a major renovation and only a limited number of rooms were available. The renovation is expected to continue well into 2009, and by then, the rooms should be some of the finest and most luxurious in town. The golf course here is far more forgiving than those shared by the Lodge at Ventana Canyon and Loews Ventana Canyon, which makes this a good choice for golfers not up to the challenge of desert-style golf courses.
