Description:
- This is an architectural and historical gem of Tucson not to be missed. The tiny chapel was built in 1915 by Mexican immigrants at Barriada del Rillito, a small community now known as El Fuerte. In 1917, land was acquired for a bigger building, but the second chapel was destroyed by a tornado in 1929. Rebuilt in 1932, the present church served as the neighborhood parish church till 1948, when it was replaced by nearby St. Cyril's. Free admission.
