- Mariachi has become popular world music throughout the Americas. Tucson is one of the centers for the art consisting of singing, music and ornate costuming. During the last weekend of April every year, students and musicians converge for a week-long celebration of Mariachi featuring several public performances. Concerts take place at the Tucson Convention Center Music Hall. Don't miss the colorful Mariachi Mass Sunday at the convention center. Tickets are available at the Mariachi Conference Web site.
