L'Indrovolante

Description:

  • Situated in the city's medieval village, on the banks of the old embarcadero, the restaurant takes its name from the planes that landed on the water here from Trieste and Venice in the 1920s and 1930s, marking the beginning of Italian aviation. The owners are airplane enthusiasts, and also masters of local cuisine. Start with a vegetable tart appetizer drizzled with fondue, followed by cavatelli pasta with white bean sauce and shellfish, or grilled veal stuffed with Taleggio cheese. Linger over one of the homemade desserts as you watch the city lights twinkle off the Po.
