Betty Ford Alpine Gardens

Description:

  • A wonderful place for a relaxing break from the rigors of an active vacation, these peaceful gardens offer a chance to see a variety of flowering alpine plants unique to the Rocky Mountains. At 8,200 feet, these are the highest public botanical gardens in North America. The alpine display, perennial garden, and mountain meditation garden together represent about 2,000 varieties of plants, demonstrating the wide range of choices to be grown at high altitudes. The gardens attract a variety of birds, and there is also a rock garden with a stunning 120-foot waterfall. Allow 1 to 3 hours.
