Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater

Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater - Vail

  • Description:

    • Named after part-time resident Gerald Rudolph Ford, whose claim to fame was that he served as the 37th President of the United States, this amphitheater is the focal point for the Vail Valley's summer cultural scene. Moscow's famed Bolshoi Ballet, Bob Hope, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and Crosby, Stills & Nash have all graced its stage with their magic. The backdrop of the Gore Range's snow-dusted mountains makes for a stunning setting, especially while sprawled on a blanket in the amphitheater's general admission lawn area. There is also regular seating in front, under a semi-enclosed roof. See website for event calendar, ticketing info and more.
