Description:

Granville Street has long been known as Vancouver's Nightclub district, but The Refinery is pioneering a change to the strip. This eco-friendly restaurant is a sweet treat to Granville and gives patrons a place to go that's unique, desirable and different than any other hotspot on the strip. The Refinery takes great pride in everything they do and that can be seen in the LED lighting, eco-friendly materials and in-house water filtration system. Chef Michael Carter's menu is inspired by fresh local ingredients that satisfy varying palates. They offer many items that are great for sharing and use local meats and cheeses on their Market Selections boards. To start, the Red Potato Salad Seared laced with chorizo, or the Albacore Tuna crusted with Tarragon are both solid choices. Another great choice is the Roast Cauliflower Soup; it's smooth, rich and filling. Any of the Market Selections boards are a great meal option, but the flatbread topped with marinated artichokes, roasted mushrooms, squash, goat cheese and truffle oil is drool worthy.  The Refinery has a fantastic wine list that will please wine aficionados and the cocktail list is certainly worth sampling. The L'epice Verte cocktail is unlike anything you have tasted before - it's so fresh, yet kicks a bit of heat. It's made with gin, cucumber water, lillet, serrano chili and lime.  The Refinery is one of Vancouver's most fine restaurants and you won't regret a trip there.
