There's nothing more decadent than sitting down to a glass of something fresh and crisp, or full bodied and flavorful, after a long day. When the night hits, hop in a cab and take yourself to one of these lovely joints to enjoy some wine and nibbles.
The Refinery ranks highest on the list for a number of reasons. Firstly, the wine list is fantastic and the food menu compliments their offerings splendidly. Not only does the food taste delicious, but it's as local as possible. Along with a great wine list, they also offer a number of beers and the tipping point is their cocktail menu. Lauren Mote is a Vancouver goddess when it comes to mixing poisons into something beautiful. The room and atmosphere also lend itself well to conversing with friends, while not being overwhelmed by loud music.
Bin 941 and Bin 942 are cozy places that are fun, loud and the perfect spot to spend an evening. Because of this cozy room, large groups are not ideal, but an intimate date with a friend or special someone is perfect! The food is also very scrumptious and will bring you back time and time again.
Nothing goes better with wine than cheese and Au Petit Chavignol is the ideal spot to take care of this craving. It may be pretty safe to say that they serve the best cheese in Vancouver.
Another great spot with a totally different vibe is Bacchus Piano Lounge, located in the lovely Wedgewood Hotel. The interior is rich with velvets, dark woods and a warm fire place and it sets the mood for an evening of drinks, music and good conversation.
It's hard to rank these Top 10 because they're all fabulous places to spend an evening and you can't go wrong with any one of them.
