- You're on vacation, so it's time to let your hair down, forget about your alarm clock and ignore all curfews! There are plenty of fun things to do in Vancouver and you will find yourself either wishing for more hours in the day, or searching for a spa to rest your tired bones. The PNE is a great place to take the kids, or to bring out the inner child in you. A day of rides, games, popcorn and the warm Vancouver sun is an ideal way to a fun summer day in the city. When you go to Science World, it's easy to fill a large portion of your day because there are so many fun and cool things to check out while you're there. There's also an IMAX there that shows many neat movies and it's a great escape from a rainy day in Vancouver. Science World is also easy to get to by the Seawall, or the Skytrain. Kids will have a blast here! The Vancouver Aquarium takes you into an underwater world where you will be captivated by all the different aquatic life and marine animals. The water in BC is quite cold, which makes scuba diving a bit of a specialized thing to do. They have saved you the hassle of having to suit up in a dry suit and they feature different displays of fish based on region. Pretty neat! Many people come to Vancouver to take advantage of our great outdoors and Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge are lovely ways to take in some fresh air and enjoy the green covering our mountains. Cruise on the water with a boat rental from Granville Island, catch a show at Yuk Yuk's Comedy club on Burrard Street, hike Grouse Grind, visit the PNE for a day of rides and games, shop till you drop on Robson Street or frolic in the snow in Whistler: Vancouver really does have it all.
