Robson Street is at the very heart of downtown Vancouver and because this is such a walkable city, there are so many things that you can do that aren't very far from Robson Street.
The Vancouver Art Gallery is one of the major landmarks in Vancouver and has played a pivotal role in housing some fabulous art exhibitions and is also a major point of interest when it comes to public displays of activism. On any given day, you may see small or large groups of people that have gathered around the Art Gallery to stand in solidarity to support their cause.
When you're at the end of Robson Street, in the Denman area, you're so close to Stanley Park. Within Stanley Park is so much to do and you should definitely take advantage of the pitch and putt, the Seawall, the Vancouver Aquarium and the beautiful views!
Back at the other end of Robson, you will find the Vancouver Public Library. It's the best place to rent books and movies, all for free! So long as you have your membership. The architecture of the building is worth noting and is quite amazing and isn't your typical library.
Robson Street itself is full of fantastic stores and this is the main strip to get all of your shopping done. Whether you're looking for a new pair of shoes, a stylish purse, some souvenirs, a new dress for a night out on the town or some tasty chocolate, you will have no problem finding it on Robson Street. There are also a number of restaurants and cafes along the way, so if you need a little pick-me-up, stop in at any one of the places you see along the way.
If you're still in the mood for shopping, Pacific Centre and Holt Renfrew are just a hop-skip-and-a-jump away. And, if it's raining outside, you're in luck because both are covered shopping havens.
If you're interested in boutique shopping and sipping drinks on a patio, Yaletown is only a block or two away from Robson Street, so take advantage of its close proximity!
