Tucked away in the covered courtyard of the Manhattan Apartments, you will feel as though you have found a hidden gem, that's literally right off of Robson Street. The 30-seat outdoor courtyard seating is perfect for dining al fresco on a beautiful day, or enjoying a little reprieve from a busy day of shopping. Newly renovated, you can take a seat in the lounge, or get comfortable in the dining room. Either spot you choose to sit, you will likely be surrounded by local regulars that come back for owner and Chef, Franco Felice's charming service and fantastic food. You can usually find Franco at the front of house, greeting guests with a bright smile and warm hospitality, but it he has been known to get back into the kitchen for longtime regulars, at their request. How lovely! The menu is made up of a series of starters, salads, pastas, mains and desserts, and they cater to vegetarians, gluten allergies and offer half portion pastas. You will also find their seafood to be OceanWise, and supremely fresh. The food is beautifully presented and the flavors will linger in your mind, days after you've enjoyed your meal. Restaurants come and go, but Cafe Il Nido has been around since 1988 and continues to thrive in its original location.
