If Naples were in Vancouver, you would find it here.

Get there right before or after peak hours to avoid a long wait.
Pizza can be found just about on every corner in Vancouver, but there's nothing quite like Nicli Antica. What sets them apart from the many other pizza joints around the city? Well, for one, they have brought in a traditional wood burning oven straight from Naples. Secondly, they only use authentic "00" Caputo flour. Lastly, they only use real San Marzano tomatoes. For those of us who enjoy cooking or good food, you know that San Marzano tomatoes are the only way to go. Each pizza only takes about 90 seconds to cook and is made from only the best ingredients.
Start off with the Insalata Mista which is a salad made from mixed greens, oven roasted tomatoes, shaved fennel and an entire head of roasted garlic. Make sure to share with your date so you're both in trouble. Any of their pizzas are delicious, so it's really hard to choose just one to order. They are intended to be single serving pizzas because the crusts are so thin and the toppings are not overly loaded. Each bite has the perfect amount of everything so that flavors aren't compromised or over powered by other ingredients. The classic Margherita is a great place to start off on your first visit, then moving onto the Funghi or the Quattro Formaggi. There are eleven different pizzas to choose from and both meat eaters and vegetarians have plenty of variation to choose from. They also offer a number of Italian wines, many of which are very affordable.
They don't take reservations and it's always a full house at peak hours, any day of the week. So, brace yourself for a bit of a wait, but it's worth it.
