Description:
- This trail is located at the north end of Duffey Lake on Highway 99 between Pemberton and Lillooet. This ride has it all! Options for all levels of ability and endurance, some of the most dramatic mountain scenery along the west coast, and the ability to personally tailor your trip. As you gain in elevation, the rain forest begins to give way to open panoramas of the summits of the Lillooet Range, which surround you on every side. The view from the summit of Gott Pass is incredible. As you approach the pass, the Stein Valley drops to the west, descending a sinuous ridge that forms the north boundary of this picturesque valley. The trail spends much of its time traversing large avalanche slopes. This provides prime habitat for everything from marmots to grizzly bears. Stay vigilant, but don't be so paranoid that you miss the majesty surrounding you. If the bears know you're in the area, you probably won't even encounter one if you make enough noise. A rapid exit is always their preferred course of action. © Copyright Ward Cameron Published by Ward Cameron Enterprises. All Rights Reserved.
