Description:
- When Chaplain George Fallis arrived in Vancouver shortly after World War I, he had dreams of erecting a memorial to Canadians who fought in the war. With that in mind, he solicited funds from all over the country. In 1928, his dream was fulfilled with the church opening its doors in the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month (Memorial Day). The gray stone Gothic-style church's main attraction is its masterfully crafted stained-glass windows. Each window portrays a biblical scene coupled with a provincial coat of arms and illustrations of historical events underneath.
