English Bay Beach - Vancouver
  • Type: Beaches
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

The best place to catch the Celebration of Lights fireworks display.

  • Description:

    • English Bay beach is located right at the base of Davie and Denman, which makes it easily accessible by public transportation and foot. The beach is scattered with logs that are the perfect object to lean up against as you take in some of the sunny rays. The Seawall runs along English Bay beach and there are plenty of places to lock up your bike, while you spend some quality time on the beach. Davie and Denman have a healthy mount of cafes, restaurants, shops and grocery stores, so you can pick up some things along the way to take to the beach, or take an evening stroll after a fantastic dinner. On New Year's Day, the Polar Bear Swim takes place at English Bay and it's an annual tradition to go for a dip in the frigid Pacific waters. English Bay is a quick bike ride away from Stanley Park and it's easy to fit in seeing both locations in the same afternoon.
