Pamper Yourself on a Sunday

Pamper Yourself on a Sunday

Description:

The Weekend to End Breast Cancer will have you doing a lot of walking, or a lot of cheering and at the end of this two day walk, you deserve to pamper yourself.

First things first, check into the Georgian Court Hotel. All of their rooms are great, but the Lotus floor is geared towards the ladies and they have in-room straightening irons, curling irons and all sorts of lady perks!

After you have checked in there, head over to Absolute Spa at the Century hotel for some well deserved pampering. Pedicures, manicures or a full on massage will be just what the doctor ordered.

After you're rested, relaxed and feeling refreshed, a little retail therapy at the Pacific Centre is a good time. Besides, after all that walking, your feet may be crying for a new pair of shoes. There are plenty of great shoe shops in the Pacific Centre.

Nothing says indulgence like cheese. Whether it's warm and gooey, or simply served with good bread and wine, a dinner at Au Petit Chavignol will hit the spot after your exercise filled weekend,

After you have filled your belly with nature's goodness, the Kino Cafe the perfect spot to sit down, rest those feet and watch the energetic flamenco dancers strut their stuff. Before you know it, you will be having visions of Barcelona in your head.

If you're not too tired, a night cap at Bacchus Piano Lounge is a nice way to finish your evening off. The warm cozy rooms sets the perfect atmosphere up to get you ready to settle into your comfortable bed at the Georgian Court.

Treat yourself to a massage (an hour) or a dip in the ozonated pool, meditate in the eucalyptus steam rooms ('Fatigue Fighter' treatment) or a deluxe makeover (45 minutes).

The Wedgewood Hotel's popular piano lounge is perennially voted the best bar in the city by critics. Named after the epicurean god of wine, it nearly begs you to imbibe in luxurious style. It has a large by-the-glass wine list and fine Italian cuisine. The decor is dark antique and flower-filled elegance, with soft lighting and a gently tinkling piano. The dance floor opens up from Thursday to Saturday and make sure you dress appropriately;casual attire is frowned upon.

    Description:

Kino is much more than just a café. The tapas are tasty and the sangria is arguably the best in town, but the real draw is the live performances by the gypsy guitarists and flamenco dancers that pack the house most nights of the week. Tuesdays feature up and coming comedy talent. Enjoy the patatas bravas with a side of chorizo and Spanish black olives, or try one of the popular thick-crust pizzas while watching the entertainment. The lively and bohemian atmosphere at Kino Café will have you stomping your feet long into the night. Ole!
