- Situated near the Ca Foscari and Ca Rezzonico universities, on the border with the Academy, Dorsoduro is an area with many bars and coffee shops. Sottosopra is open all day, serving breakfast and quick snacks that can be washed down with a glass of wine. Crowded with students at lunchtime, often you have to eat standing at the bar. Apart from serving the various squid salads, fish, and roast vegetables, the bar also has a good selection of international specialties as an alternative to Venetian cuisine.
