At long last there is a place to stay on the glass-blowing island of Murano. Its obvious appeal is to devotee of Murano glass, but other visitors seeking a retreat from the tourist hordes of Venice will find it an oasis. This little hotel, created by a family of glassmakers, is a restored villa located near the Museo del Vetro (glass museum). All midsize bedrooms are furnished with tasteful pieces, more minimalist than most of the Venetian baroque on "mainland" Venice. Each room comes with a simple tiled bathroom with shower.
