Antica Sacrestia

•  Located on a sidestreet just behind the Basilica of San Marco, Antica Sacrestia is very popular with international actors working in Venice or coming here for the Film Festival. Nevertheless the quality-price ratio is quite good. They serve dishes of the local tradition: fried or grilled fish, roasted and grilled meat. Don't forget liver cooked in Venetian-style with onions and served with polenta, a sort of maize flour porridge. A choice of fish starters or one of the good pizzas, carefully prepared in the wood fired oven, could be enough for a light lunch.
