- In past centuries, the Casin dei Nobili was a refined place where the local aristocracy used to spend time gambling. It was mostly patronized by local aristocrats called barnabotti after the nearby Campo San Barnaba. Nowadays, it's a restaurant and a pizzeria with a good price-quality ratio, which is quite interesting in Venice! Pizza and a lot more is available here. The restaurant offers classical dishes from Venetian culinary traditional, which include first courses like risi e bisi (rice and peas), pasta e fasioi (pasta and beans), and baccalà (dried salted cod) or Venetian-style liver. Here one can find both pizzas and italian dishes of a good quality. The quality is very good and the price are reasonable, with a very good and rather fast service, in a nice environment.

Better in food and price than most restaurants on the Zattere, this smallish place serves excellent food and has a good wine list. Pleasant service and enough English.
