• Beyond the Ghetto, towards the Fondamenta Nuove there are many ethnic restaurants that are a pleasant walk away from the station or a longer way round by vaporetto. Generally frequented by students and young people, the interior is basically Mexican but has been westernised. The atmosphere is welcoming even if not particularly cosy. The service is efficient. The cuisine is tex-mex, with tortillas, tacos, burritos and fajitas; it's not too spicy, especially if washed down with beer from their wide selection. They also serve numerous tasty cocktails.
