It offers tables with great views down the famous Graben and Kohlmarkt. Metropol a music venue that has a full menu, ranging from starters like smoked salmon and sheep's milk cheese to main dishes like lasagna and meat loaf. Opened in 1873 in the former Württemberg Palais, the Imperial definitely deserves its name: it's not just the decor of the cafe that is very glamorous but also the hotel's guest list. Weibels Wirtshaus may fool you with its unpretentious and cozy feel, which at first glance makes it look like a simple tavern. But the food is considerably better than the wirtshaus (tavern) appellation implies and the clientele is a lot more upscale than the usual wurst-with-potatoes-and-beer crowd. If you're looking for a wonderful treat, stop in at one of Vienna's 5-star restaurants, which offer a symphony of fine-dining experiences.
