Description:

  • This is a large but cozy restaurant with a Mediterranean atmosphere. Here, diners have the opportunity to listen to traditional songs performed by gypsy and Yugoslav musicians. Sometimes romantic, sometimes melancholic, the accordionist and the violonist play whatever the guests feel like listening to. The restaurant is popular with pensive intellectuals, Serbian families, elegant businessmen and hungry locals who come here when other places are closed. Warm dishes are served until 2am. In the summer, there is a nice garden in the courtyard that stays cool and refreshing when temperatures are high. Just a hint: The entrance is at Schikanedergasse. The menu consists mainly of specialties from Southern Europe (Yugoslavia and Greece), but also many international and Austrian dishes. It offers a fine selection of wines; you should try Plavac—a very tasteful Croatian red wine.
