• This is a wooden tower 66 meters tall that looks out across the huge construction site - location of the future main railroad station for Vienna. It is reachable by the U-1 subway: go to the Sudtiroler platz station and walk south toward the tower - located exactly at Favoritenstrasse 51 on the south side of the Gürtel. Please note: this is probably one of the tallest towers in metropolitan Europe and it is window and cold this time ( October ) of year. So only extreme-sports people or hardy adventurers should consider climbing the hundreds of steps to get to the top! There's no elevator! But a really fantastic view for 360 degrees. ( Admission is FREE & proceed at your own risk )
