- Opened in 1909, this was the first open-air artificial ice rink in the world, and the Engelmann family has had a long and auspicious history in figure skating: family members can claim numerous World Championship and Olympic medals. Rental skates are included in the admission cost, and hot drinks and snacks are available for the cold and/or tired. Call ahead to ensure that free skating is available.
