Description:
- Narrenturm was the world's first mental ward and is also called the Idiots Tower. It was built in 1784, under Emperor Josef's rule. After the psychiatric hospital was closed, for a certain period it served as residence for doctors and nurses. Now it houses the Federal Pathologic-Anatomical Museum. It is located within the vast campus of University of Vienna. Truly the tower is very huge and hard to miss structure.
