Head out of the inner city in the morning to the Schonbrunn palace, and spend the day exploring the zoo, park and gardens, labyrinth, palm house, and the tours of the palace itself. The Gloriette cafe provides a beautiful view of the surrounding areas.read more

Spend a couple of hours in the morning at the extensive Kunsthistorisches Museum, then walk south for a great sandwich at Artner. The Klimt pieces at Secession alone make it worth a visit. For the evening, head to Aux Gazelles. Take a relaxing steam bath in the spa, and then move to the oyster bar and restaurant for delicious Moroccan food.

There are other museums and historical sights in the area, including Parlament, the Albertina Museum, and the State Library, and plenty of interesting little places to stop along the way. Visit Da Capo for a romantic Italian dinner on your way back to the hotel.  hide

Visit the KunstHausWien, a beautiful building with a quite varied and interesting collection, and/or the Belvedere, an impressive palace with beautiful gardens, during your last full day in Vienna. Have an early dinner at Le Ciel for fabulous French cuisine, and then catch an opera or concert at Wiener Kursalon, Theater an der Wien, or the State Opera House. Have a glass of wine at the elegant Rote Bar afterwards before returning to the hotel.

Have a final classic Viennese meal at a classic Viennese restaurant before leaving town.
