Description:
From the quaint cobblestone streets and beautiful parks to the famed operas and concerts, Vienna is a lesser-known but very worthwhile destination for romance.
Day Note:
Go on a tram tour of the Ringstrasse, and then rent a bike to ride along the Danube and to explore the narrow streets of the inner city. Have lunch at Meinl's for a less-expensive and lighter chance to eat at one of the city's best Austrian restaurants. Particular architectural points of interest are the Franziskanerkirche, the Judenplatz square, and the Stephanplatz square, which features the Stephansdom cathedral. Afterwards, treat yourself to an extravagant...read more

Description:
One of the top five restaurants in Austria, Meinl's Restaurant sits on the first floor and offers tables with unique views down the famous Graben and Kohlmarkt. Throughout the day, Meinl's Restaurant offers a delicious selection of dishes to delight the palate. In the morning, a variety of ways to enjoy breakfast; at lunchtime, a series of light and exquisite set menus; and in the evenings, a full gastronomic journey from delicate entrées to heavenly desserts. Head Chef Joachim Gradwohl's style is both individual and distinctive - rich in Mediterranean influence but strongly grounded in the seasonal nature and high quality of ingredients that is the hallmark of Austrian cooking.
Day Note:
Spend a couple of hours in the morning at the extensive Kunsthistorisches Museum, then walk south for a great sandwich at Artner. The Klimt pieces at Secession alone make it worth a visit. For the evening, head to Aux Gazelles. Take a relaxing steam bath in the spa, and then move to the oyster bar and restaurant for delicious Moroccan food.

Description:
Proudly declaring itself a hotel without rooms, this hammam, or Turkish bath, has plenty to boast about. A conglomeration of a spa, café, restaurant and club, it has many daily visitors. Though its various facets have emerged from humble beginnings, the place tries its best to impress. For the complete experience, attempt the steam bath, followed by a spell at the oyster bar and brasserie. Afterward, a cup of thé de menthe at the Salon de Thé would be in order. Next in line is a trip to the cocktail bar to enjoy some Arabic tunes, or a leisurely puff of the traditional water-pipes while sitting on luxuriant carpets. A well-furnished meeting room is also available for rent, should you decide to conduct a corporate bash with a difference. Head on over for a day of comprehensive entertainment!
Day Note:
Spend the day wandering the southern end of the Ring. At the Schatzkammer, you can view the Habsburg jewels as well as the several other museums and collections in the Hofburg, so you can spend as much or as little time as you wish to here. There are other museums and historical sights in the area, including Parlament, the Albertina Museum, and the State Library, and plenty of interesting little places to stop along the way. Visit Da Capo for a romantic Italian...read more
Day Note:

Have a glass of wine at the elegant Rote Bar afterwards before returning to the hotel.

Description:
Named after the banks of the Wien River, which once flowed beside it, Vienna's largest theatre still retains its past glory. Its Empire Style design, a memorial Papageno gate and scenic surroundings make it a romantic venue to catch some stunning performances. Listen to the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra bring Mozart and Beethoven back to life. Among other big names that grace the stage, are Angelika Kirchschlager, Rudolf Buchbinder, and Maurizio Pollini. With "Mozart 2006", the theatre celebrates the 250th anniversary of the composer's birth. Music also takes on a humorous note with acts, such as "I Hate Mozart", so there seems to be something for all classical tastes here. Check the web site for upcoming events and tickets.
Day Note:
Have a final classic Viennese meal at a classic Viennese restaurant before leaving town.
