Description:
This three-level wine bar/restaurant occupies a former art gallery space about a block away from the U Street Metro station. Each floor feels cozy and intimate; the walls are lined with colorful empty wine bottles and seating alternates between small tables and slightly larger benches. All wine offerings are either organic or bio-dynamic, and the small plates - which include banh mi (Vietnamese baguettes) and locally sourced cheeses - are actually quite a lot bigger than one would expect. Try the dessert sampler, which includes bacon peanut brittle (which tastes a lot better than it sounds).
