Mie N Yu is a massive yet intimate restaurant right in the heart of Georgetown, which makes it an ideal spot for starting (or ending) your night out. In March 2008, Corduroy, with chef Tom Power steady at the helm, moved from its perch inside the Four Points Sheraton Hotel to its own place in the up-and-coming convention center neighborhood. Firefly Restaurant features polished wood floors, stone walls, a glass bar and the decorated "firefly tree" in the center of the dining area. 1789 is one of Washington's more revered restaurants, having served well-heeled patrons for nearly 50 years. Here in the seat of world power, there are many romantic restaurants where you can sit back and exhale - but they're popular so be sure to call ahead to make a reservation at least a few days in advance.
