The Best of NileGuide
- Want to experience Washington the way the locals do? Carve some time out of your itinerary to visit the more out-of-the-way areas and attractions in DC. Some of the bests parts of a vacation can be found in the most unusual places, and nothing beats the feeling of "discovering" something of which only those truly in the know are aware. And since today's hidden gem might be tomorrow's common attraction, be sure to revisit this section often, and make sure you're constantly in the know. Spend some time in Petworth, or a bit outside the city limits in Silver Spring, Maryland. Check out Logan Circle, which is fast becoming as interesting as its neighbor, Dupont Circle (but is a lot less crowded). Or head south of the river to Arlington, where many of DC's young professionals live and hang out.
