Description:
- Offering an American menu with French and Russian influences, the fare at Hillwood's café is inspired by the life and legacy of Marjorie Merriweather Post (1887-1973), the founder of Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens and only child of cereal magnate C.W. Post. Lunch features signature items including Kiev Borscht, a tomato based soup with beef, potatoes, carrots, bacon and of course beets, a Croque Madame Sandwich with ham, gruyere cheese and a fried egg covered in a mornay sauce as well as Seared Grouper with a Saffron Sauce and Truffle Pureed Cauliflower. And please try our Strawberries Romanoff Shortcake for dessert. Hillwood Café also offers a quintessential Afternoon Tea with an assortment of Finger Sandwiches, Berry Pavlova, Almond Hazelnut Vienna Cookies and Fruit Strudel.
