Description:
- This is Lake Anna's longest trail. It is 2 miles in length and relatively easy with the terrain being fairly level. The path is along an old railroad bed to a peninsula on Lake Anna. It is through an oak and maple forest where songbirds are plentiful. About 3/4 of the way, you will see an unmarked path to the right. This is a cut-thru to the other side of the trail, cutting off the tip of the peninsula. The trail has very interesting interpretive signs telling of the area's history and the history of the railroad which carried iron ore from this area to be used for World War I ammunition.
