- The yellow-blazed Beach Trail and River Trail are short trails designed to take visitors from one park amenity to another. Beach Trail takes the hiker up a 100-foot stairway with inclines of 30-45 degrees for an impressive view overlooking the beautiful Potomac River. Benches at the half way point are a relief for weary stair climbers.
