About an hour from DC, this fishing spot offers overnight camping. Be sure to get a VA state fishing license before arriving.

  • Description:

    • This beautiful 1.5-acre pond offers the angler a scenic fishing experience. The pond is stocked with bluegill and bass and is open for fishing the year round. There are also a few catfish resting 6 feet below surface. Lying in valley encircled by beautiful rolling mountains, the scenery is enchanting. A myriad of water plants including cattails rise from the pond's edge. Bull frogs and other critters leap and scurry off as you rustle through the brush to reach water's edge.

Parking is permitted on the side of the park road. U.S. 17 is far too busy to even consider parking.
