Description:
- The Yellow Poplar Trail is a yellow-blazed route wrapping around the park for 4.6 miles. It is the longest trail within the park, however, hikers find it a moderate walk. The hike is a several hour journey where the beauty of nature explodes across the mountain vistas. The trail passes two beautiful stone overlooks built by the depression-era Civilian Conservation Corps from the 1930s. The trail is open to mountain bikers and equestrians as well as hikers. It is maintained by M.O.R.E. (Mid-Atlantic Off Road Enthusiasts). A restroom is located near the trail in the High Knob area.
