Linda M. Byrnes Performing Arts Center

Linda M. Byrnes Performing Arts Center - Whidbey Island

  • Description:

    • It was a dream of The Arts Alive! Group—an Arlington based art group, to have a center for performing arts. It was the need to have he city's own venue where people could enjoy quality art. Funds were raised for by the group, with a lot of support by patrons, and dedication and perseverance of the group members. Finally, The Linda M. Byrnes Performing Arts Center is a state of the art facility in Arlington. The theater has been designed and decorated by the city's well-known artists. The classic chandelier, a Steinway grand piano donated by the Boulton family and a Ghighlieri statue of an eagle entitled "Freedom" was donated by Dr. Wayne Smothers and his wife Marcia all prove the love of art of the citizens of Arlington.
