During the 2010 Winter Games in Whistler and Vancouver, spectators around the World will be watching as the Whistler Sliding Centre hosts the luge, skeleton and bobsleigh events. Located in Whistler Village, the Sliding Centre is within close proximity to many hotels, restaurants and other venues. There are only 15 tracks like this in the world that combine luge, skeleton and bobsleigh tracks. The spirituality of Canada's First Nations is planted in this venue because it has been built on traditional territories shared between the Squamish and Lil'wat First Nations. Long after the Winter Olympics have occurred, this high-performance venue will be used by locals and visitors alike.
